MISA
Portfolio Drive

President Candidate

Magnaye, John David F.

Goals

My platform for this term is rooted in one core belief: that MISA has the ambition, the people, and the potential to be exceptional, but that ambition needs structure to sustain it, and people need care to thrive within it. Across every cluster, my plans are guided by the same principle: building systems that are clear, deliberate, and designed to last. From establishing a centralized project management guide that standardizes processes across all clusters, to implementing quarterly reports that keep us honest about our progress, to improving how we handle finances, documentation, and onboarding, I want MISA to operate with the kind of intentionality that turns good intentions into consistent, high-quality outcomes. But structure alone is not enough. Alongside the systems, I want to build a MISA that genuinely takes care of its people. In practice, that looks like: - Welcoming and inclusive clusters where officers are properly trained, supported, and never made to feel like they need to be experts just to belong - Sustainable events that are reevaluated for relevance and impact, and designed to energize rather than exhaust the people who run them - Stronger member support through better grievance handling, mentorship programs, and structured onboarding that sets people up for success from day one - Genuine connection beyond org work, through hangouts, spotlights, and the kind of unstructured moments that remind people why they joined in the first place Every plan I have for this term comes back to the same thing: a MISA that is structured enough to sustain its ambitions, and human enough to make those ambitions worth pursuing.
