Vision

If I can sum up my vision for the organization in one word, it would be the word “home”. For me, I feel that we lost this title of being a home in the current year, and it is something that I want our current and future members to feel when they are a part of this organization. Despite doing work in different clusters, our members should still have a sense of fulfillment and fun in what they’re doing while also bonding with other members and it is my role to ensure that this vision is fulfilled.

Platforms

Lend an Ear: The Office of the President will be conducting MANDATORY consultations for each BETA Member (Executives and AVPs) every semester. I want to be able to create a relationship with each BETA member and listen to their thoughts, expectations, and goals that they have not only for the organization, but also for themselves. In addition to this, I would also be listening to their perspectives and honest opinions about the Office of the President and what I can do at the start of every semester to make their role more fulfilling, what resources they would need from me, and any other additional concerns that they need me to address for them. Consultations would also be open to any third-level officer and MISA member but it would only be optional. It is up to their discretion if they would want to provide any feedback or thoughts and perspective about what could be improved or what we are doing well as an organization.

President-led initiatives Now that we have shifted to more of an onsite setting, I would want our members to feel that MISA is not only about work but also its about having fun and bonding and creating relationships with both new and old members. At the same time, in doing these events, I want to be able to hear the ideas and inputs of our members whether it is about these monthly initiatives or something that they want implemented or done by MISA

1. Bring back the idea of ESF or Events SuperFamily and have monthly events designed to encourage interaction between BETA and MISA members.

EX: Every first of the month, members should be able to get the signature of a certain BETA member in a piece of paper. The first three (3) people to accomplish it would get a prize

2. Introduce a formal market research form which would be used to gain the insights and inputs of MISA members. This form may include but is not limited to: Ideas for Monthly Initiatives, Ideas for Upcoming MISA Events, Points of Improvement, Officer-Interest for Events

Promoting MISA: Knowing that most people are engulfed in the world of social media, it is time that we also adapt to the world around us. For me, it is time to utilize the various social media platforms more (e.g. TikTok, Instagram) to help promote the organization and provide further visibility. Not only that, but through these platforms, we can also express the memories of the organization and showcase the amazing skills and talents of our members, whether it is through DISCS sportsfest, or our future Project Directors successfully leading their core teams.

Ex: Utilizing Instagram to showcase events, highlights, and/or member skills Utilizing TikTok to promote events and increase member interaction

Not only that, but it is also my role to introduce new collaborations with other organizations, and with my current skill set, I know that I have the ability to create meaningful relationships with other organizations to possibly introduce new collaborations with other organizations to ignite member interest and introduce newavenues for them to express their skills.
