Communications Cluster

The Communications Cluster is in charge of the overall branding and information dissemination of the organization. This includes promoting the organization’s events and services inside and outside MISA. The Communications Cluster is also responsible for determining the communication protocols of the organization and ensuring that these are properly observed.

Associate Vice President for Promotional Strategy (1)

Description

  • The Associate Vice President for Promotional Strategy leads the planning and execution of strategic promotions for the organization’s events and initiatives. They ensure that all communications follow internal procedures, maintain message consistency, and effectively reach intended audiences. The role also involves managing and monitoring promotional timelines, supporting communication efforts, and guiding the COMMS Cluster Officers

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees proper promotion of all the organization’s events and services and ensures that the promotions adhere to the code of internal procedures, and information is handled and disseminated responsibly within and outside the organization

  • Conceptualizes effective promotional strategies and composes spiels for the events and initiatives of the organization and its clusters and compiles individual promotional timelines and makes sure that the promotional schedules are followed

  • Analyzes social media analytics to gain insights into user behavior, identifying trends and areas for improvement to enable more strategic promotion planning.

  • Assists the Vice President for Communications in consolidating and screening the organization’s blast request form and the blasting calendar

  • Helps manage the organization’s active communication channels

  • Ensures that members of the Board of Executives and the Associates participate in blasting promotional materials of the organization

  • Spearheads various training and workshops for skills related to promotional strategy (such as effective strategy conceptualization, spiel composition, engagement data analysis, etc.)

  • Trains, oversees, deploys, and communicates with the third-level officers of the sub-cluster and serves as the bridge between the third-level officers and the Vice President for Communications

Associate Vice President for Documentation (2)

Description

  • The Associate Vice President for Documentation oversees the documentation efforts of the organization, ensuring consistent and quality coverage of events and initiatives. They help maintain proper workflows, resources, and storage systems for media outputs, while guiding the COMMS Cluster Officers through coordination, training, and support.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the documentation of all the organization’s events and activities, ensuring high-quality coverage in photography, videography, and video editing, while adhering to MISA’s branding manual and code of internal procedures

  • Ensures the proper maintenance and availability of all documentation equipment and resources, coordinating repairs or replacements as needed.

  • Assists the Vice President for Communications in the proper storage, organization, and accessibility of all documented materials, ensuring they are easily retrievable and well-maintained

  • Helps manage the organization’s active communication channels

  • Spearheads various training and workshops for skills related to documentation work (such as best practices for photography, videography, and editing techniques, etc.)

  • Trains, oversees, deploys, and communicates with the third-level officers of the sub-cluster and serves as the bridge between the third-level officers and the Vice President for Communications.

Associate Vice President for Creatives and Publications (3)

Description

  • The Associate Vice President for Creatives and Publications leads the visual direction of the organization by overseeing the development of all creative materials and ensuring alignment with MISA’s branding standards. They help maintain the quality and consistency of the organization’s publications, support the execution of communication initiatives, and guide the growth and performance of the COMMS Cluster Officers.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the creation of all visual identity and creative material for all publications and ensures the all materials created and utilized by the organization’s officers and members appropriately portray and adhere to MISA’s branding manual and code of internal procedures

  • Facilitates design critique and review for creative projects and outputs, which entails giving comments or suggestions regarding any promotional deliverable for all MISA publication materials

  • Assists the Vice President for Communications in consolidating and screening the organization’s publication request form

  • Helps manage the organization’s active communication channels

  • Spearheads various training and workshops for skills related to creative work (such as design, branding and visual identity, design-thinking, etc.).

  • Trains, oversees, deploys, and communicates with the third-level officers of the sub-cluster and serves as the bridge between the third-level officers and the Vice President for Communications
