Human Resources

The Human Resources Cluster is responsible for managing the member and officer recruitment, development, evaluation, and empowerment initiatives and activities of the organization, which help members develop not just their technical skills but also their interpersonal skills.

Associate Vice President for Member Relations (2)

Description

  • The Associate Vice President for Member Relations is dedicated to fostering a vibrant, inclusive, and engaging community for MISA’s community. They lead the implementation of MISAyang Samahan, conceptualize monthly engagement initiatives, and guide family heads and member engagement officers, serving as a vital bridge between the members and the Vice President for Human Resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Vice President for Human Resources in managing all member recruitment and member engagement efforts of the organization

  • Spearheads the family system called MISAyang Samahan (formerly known as the Mentorship Program), which aims to engage members more through a family system

  • Conceptualizes different activities through monthly HR initiatives that will help members bond and will help create stronger and new relations within the organization.

  • Trains, oversees, deploys, and communicates with the Family Heads and Member Engagement Officers of the cluster, and serves as the bridge between them and the Vice President for Human Resources

Associate Vice President for Human Resource Project Officers (2)

Description

  • The Associate Vice President for Human Resource Project Officers ensures the effective onboarding, deployment, and support of HRPOs assigned to event core teams. They lead regular core team update meetings, establish team dynamics, and facilitate Events Core Team Individual Consultations to ensure concerns are heard and addressed. They play a key role in maintaining officer morale, strengthening event team culture, and upholding HR presence throughout the different events.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Vice President for Human in managing Human Resource Project officer recruitment and deployment for the organization.

  • In charge of onboarding third level HRPOs with responsibilities such as Events Core Team kickstart meetings, meetings dedicated to establishing core team dynamics as a first touchpoint, and spearheading meeting management in Events Core Teams.

  • Facilitates regular HRPO (Human Resource Project Officer) update meetings once a month for deployed officers.

  • Assumes the position of the third-level officer/s whom he or she manages if there are no applications for the aforementioned position.

  • Ensures that the Human Resources BETA, third-level Human Resources officers, members, and external stakeholders, if applicable, are informed regarding the rescheduling or cancellation of core team initiative/s in cases when natural or man-made disasters occur a few days before or during the day of the initiative itself.

  • Trains, oversees, deploys, and communicates with the third-level officers of the sub-cluster and serves as the bridge between the third-level officers and the Vice President for Human Resources.

Associate Vice President for Officer Relations (2)

Description

  • The Associate Vice President for Officer Relations plays a key role in promoting officer well-being and sustainable leadership by facilitating structured check-ins, development-focused consultations, and core team support. They work closely with the Vice President for Human Resources to ensure proper officer deployment, monitor officer welfare, and foster a culture of open communication and care across all clusters.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Assists the Vice President for Human Resources in managing all officer recruitment standards and processes of the organization

  • Assists the Vice President for Human Resources and the different clusters in deploying the core team-related officers of the organization to ensure proper officer development, maintain officer retention, and avoid officer burnout

  • Conducts individual consultations and group dynamics with each office/cluster BETA to regularly check up on the well-being of the BETA members

  • Conducts post-event individual consultations (in collaboration with the Events Cluster) with core team officers
