Communications Cluster

The Communications Cluster is in charge of the overall branding and information dissemination of the organization. This includes promoting the organization’s events and services inside and outside MISA. The Communications Cluster is also responsible for determining the communication protocols of the organization and ensuring that these are properly observed.

Video Editor

Description

  • The Video Editor is responsible for creating a variety of video and conceptualizing content with the Promotional Strategist to create coherent publication materials that will aid in the dissemination of event information and encourage participation from the target audiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the planning and production of publication materials in video form

  • Work with the project team in order to create dynamic promotional materials that align with the core team’s vision for the event, and

  • Work closely with the Promotional Strategist to determine the overall look and peg of the event’s branding.

Photo-Videographer

Description

  • The Photo-Videographer is responsible for the onsite documentation during the event proper. They are also responsible for coordinating details of any promotional shoot for the event. The Photographer is also responsible for post-processing photos and adding watermarks to photos.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up photographic equipment

  • Handle the onsite documentation by taking photos and videos during the event proper

  • Communicate with the project team to set up a time and location for a photoshoot if needed for the event’s promotions

  • Post-process and add watermark to the photos he/she has taken

Creative Director

Description

The Creative Director is responsible for creating promotional and communication materials, such as visual media, as requested by various committees of the core team of the event. They are expected to conceptualize the visual branding of their respective assignment and consistently apply it to the other visual needs of the project core team.  

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize the visual and creative direction of their respective assignment

  • Produce the promotional materials that capture and concretize the theme 

  • Document the materials produced in planning and executing the event

Onsite Creatives

Description

  • Onsite Creatives are responsible for the conceptualization and creation of any onsite promotional materials and any onsite venue decoration. They work closely with the Logistics Team and Creative Directors for design coherence and effectiveness.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for arranging the logistics of onsite promotional materials

  • Works closely with the event’s logistics team

  • Visualizes and implements venue setup and decoration during onsite events 

  • Assists and works with Creative Directors to create the materials needed for promotional materials

  • Conceptualizes and oversees venue decoration and planning

  • Ensures that the venue is prepared and presentable on the day of the event

  • Contacts supplier for needed event decoration materials

Promotional Strategist

Description

The Promotional Strategist is responsible for creating a feasible and effective Promotional Strategy and communicating with Creative Directors to craft publication materials that properly communicate the event to the target audiences. 

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist creative directors in conceptualizing promotional materials

  • Formulate spiels

  • Communicate with creative directors for needed promotional materials

  • Organize a promotional strategy which ensures all promotional materials to be released into the official MISA social media pages are in-line with the branding of the event and the organization

  • Manage the promotional timeline
